The musical education of your son is, without doubt, our highest priority when we consider tuition rates. We are committed to providing a superior music education for every student at St. Michael’s Choir School. In consultation with the Finance Council and in accordance with the objectives of our Strategic Plan, our task is to ensure that your tuition dollars make that superior education happen.

Tuition

For the academic year 2024-2025, regular tuition for attendance at St. Michael’s Choir School is set at $8,200.00. Families interested in sending their son(s) to St. Michael's Choir School should budget for a 4% annual increase as these increases are essential to cover our operating expenses. We offer a variety of monthly payment plans to assist families with their financial obligations.

All new students pay a one-time $120.00 registration fee. A 50% tuition deposit is required upfront at the time of registration.

Financial Aid

Financial aid is awarded in the form of a bursary. Bursaries are grants funded by donations received under our annual Scale Up Campaign from the alumni, individuals and foundations that support St. Michael's Choir School mission and wish to provide the opportunity for talented and deserving students to attend the school.

Bursaries are awarded by the school and carry no obligation of repayment; although, it is hoped that beneficiaries will, in the future, become donors to the annual fund.

Bursaries are awarded based on demonstrated financial need and are confidential. All applicants must meet the school’s terms for admission or re-registration to be considered for a bursary. The amount of financial assistance awarded is applied as a reduction of tuition fees.

To be considered, please complete the Financial Assistance for Canadian Students (FACS) application form available on www.applefinancialservices.ca. Apple Financial Services is a third-party assessor who makes recommendation to the Finance Committee of the School with respect to family’s financial ability to contribute towards their child’s education.

Bursaries are granted on an annual basis; therefore an application must be submitted each year.
